I’d never thought to distinguish joy and happiness before. Yes there is merit in thinking things through clearly like this. I’ve noticed myself trying to deny what is with a vengeance. I had a clear idea of the need for surrender, but never equated it to accepting completely what is now. Simply having the courage to notice and see what i am avoiding and move on to the next.
